The certified version is produced in every case by a sworn translator authorised by a German court under state law; assessment of the degree remains with the competent body.

How the discount works.

The process is deliberately simple: you send your document, state your student status, and we calculate the reduced price. As proof, a certificate of enrolment or a student ID is enough — as a scan or photo, one proof per order. This applies to doctoral and Erasmus students too.

We deliberately do not name a flat percentage. Volume, language direction and certification differ from order to order — a fixed number would be either window-dressing or, for many, simply wrong. Instead you see a binding fixed price before you order; after that, no unannounced extra costs are added.

The discount changes nothing about the result: every translation goes through the same check under the four-eyes principle, and the certified version is exactly as valid as it would be without the reduction. What gets cheaper is the price, not the care.

Do you even need certification? Not always. For applications to authorities, universities and via portals such as uni-assist, the certified translation is usually required. For an informal application, an internal portfolio or an academic text, a plain professional translation is often enough — and it is cheaper. When in doubt, check the receiving office's requirement; tell us what it is, and we calculate only what you actually need.

University admission

Applying abroad via uni-assist

Starting point: A Bachelor graduate applies for a Master's abroad. Via uni-assist, the Abitur certificate, degree certificate and transcript of records are required as a certified English translation.
Process: An authorised translator renders them with the certification note; the student proof lowers the fixed price. The PDF comes first, the original by post.
Result: A certified set the admissions portal accepts — grades kept as issued, only explained, so there is no follow-up query.

Credential recognition

Recognition of a foreign degree

Starting point: A student with a degree earned abroad wants it recognised in Germany. The evaluation body — the ZAB / ENIC-NARIC — requires a certified translation.
Process: We deliver the recognition-ready version; the degree is assessed there, not by us. The student rate applies to exactly this kind of study-related job.
Result: A certified translation the recognition body can work from, without misstating the foreign qualification.

Enrolment & academia

Enrolment paperwork & abstract

Starting point: A doctoral student needs an enrolment certificate translated and an English abstract plus a chapter for an international journal.
Process: The existing English draft is not re-translated but revised by a specialist — often cheaper than a new translation; the certificate is rendered by an authorised translator on request.
Result: Documents ready for the office and consistent terminology across the academic text — at the reduced student rate.

Before you upload: three things that lower the price and save queries

Scan completely and legibly. All pages, straight and at good resolution — including back pages and supplements with the grading key. Missing pages lead to queries and delay the fixed price.

Name the receiving office and target country. Who requires the translation (university, uni-assist, an authority, an employer) and in which country decides whether certification is needed — and therefore the price.

State the deadline and language direction. Source and target language plus your deadline let us propose the right, cheapest route straight away. Simply attach your student proof.

To take on certified work for German authorities you need German at C2 level, a proven specialist field, and — for certified translations — a court-authorised sworn translator. Add a field you can defend (law, medicine, technology, finance) and its terminology. That combination, not language alone, is what a registry office or a court relies on.

For certified translations you apply to the competent Regional Court (Landgericht) to be authorised under state law. And official documents reward a specialist's judgement: the right register, legal forms that must not be swapped and passport-exact names.
