    Process

    What happens after your enquiry.

Once your enquiry arrives, we review scope, language direction, field and purpose and reply — on working days usually within 60 minutes — with a binding price and a realistic delivery date. Only after your approval does production start, handled by a native-speaker professional translator; where needed, a second specialist checks the work on the four-eyes principle. You receive the finished translation as a PDF in advance, with certified originals sent additionally by post.

Your documents are treated confidentially and in line with the GDPR; on request we sign a non-disclosure agreement beforehand. So from the very first message you know where you stand — with no hidden costs and no work commissioned into the dark.

One message. One reply. On working days usually within 60 minutes.

No call-centre ping-pong: you reach people who can place your project and name a binding price — by phone, by email or by document upload.

    FAQ

    Contact & availability — FAQ.

How quickly does the FÜD reply to an enquiry?

On working days we reply usually within 60 minutes. After a brief review of your document you receive a binding fixed price and a realistic delivery date. This is a reaction time, not a delivery time.

Do I have to request a quote first, or can I clarify things by phone?

Both are possible. For a binding fixed price, uploading the document is the fastest route; for questions, urgent cases or complex projects you can reach us by phone on 0800 3333-3433.

Do you offer a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)?

Yes. On request we sign a non-disclosure agreement before the project starts; your documents are processed strictly for the agreed purpose and in line with the GDPR.

Can I hand in or collect a document in person?

Yes, by appointment — at our Berlin office as well as at further locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In total we accept documents in over 100 cities by prior arrangement.

How do I reach the FÜD from Austria or Switzerland?

For Austria you can reach us on +43 1 3050-647 (Vienna), for Switzerland on +41 44 5868 297 (Baar); the 0800 3333-3433 hotline is free of charge from within Germany.

Is there a dedicated contact for framework agreements (B2B)?

Yes. For ongoing translation needs we set up a dedicated contact and defined processes — write to us via the quick-enquiry form or by email with the keyword “framework agreement”.
